Eric and Erica

O.k. I am so excited about theses engagement pictures! This was such an original and fun idea! When Erica told me that she wanted to do her engagement pictures in a theatre, I was very nervous- excited but nervous. Have you ever tried taking pictures in a low lit theatre? At least for me, it was a tad bit intimidating.
When touching base with Erica the night before the sitting, Erica told me she was going for a "Moulin Rouge" look for her pictures. Awesome! Great! What the heck is a Moulin Rouge look? Crap, I haven't seen Moulin Rouge and had no clue what she meant. So, being the studious little thing that I am, (he,he,ha,ha)I googled Moulin Rouge in hopes to get a feel of what Erica wanted. Well, google rarely fails me, but still no clue! Had it not been past midnight, I would have gone and rented it at Hollywood Video, but they were closed. I hate to admit it, but for a fleeting moment, the thought of breaking in did cross my mind.:) Kidding! So, I did what any worried photographer would do.... I went to bed! What can I say, I LOVE my sleep.

Well, the sitting came and went and I think it went fabulous. How do you think we did with the Moulin Rouge theme?!? It was a challenge for me, something that I had never done before- and I loved every minute of it! This sweet little couple is as cute together as their names are! You've gotta just know it's destiny when the only difference between your name and the one you love's name is one vowel! How cute is that!!!

Anyway, once again, my indecisiveness got the best of me! So sit back, grab some popcorn and enjoy the show!!! :)

This is one my favorites! I love the passion in this picture!

Don't you think they look like rock stars in this picture!

AYKM???? Could she be any more beautiful?! I think not!

Wouldn't this look awesome blown up big on canvas! I am kinda jealous I don't have one like this with me and my cute hubby!

I think everyone thought I was crazy when I grabbed a garbage can prop from back stage! Well, crazy or not, I think it works!

Just a little more Erica eye candy! Another favorite! I kinda have a lot of favorites- sorry!

Another favorite!

What a lucky guy Eric is! Erica you are absolutely stunning!!!

O.K. I am a big geek! I know that I practically showed the whole sitting, but I just couldn't help myself! Decisions have never been my strong point! Try going shopping with me- it's a nightmare, just ask my mom! :)

Thank you so much Eric and Erica!!! I grew as a photographer doing these! I had so much fun getting to know you two better! And Erica, I love your style and that you are true to yourself!! You're great! I can't wait to do your bridals!

I'm sorry, but I really hate these. The photography skills are wonderful, but why were these chosen for engagements? I think they are in bad taste and don't look pure and wholesome like I expect engagement photos to be.

Like I said, nothing against the photographer. You did awesome with what you were given.

i think that picture is so cute! You look really pretty.

Okay... to this "anonymous" person. I would kindly ask you to keep your rude comments to yourself. So what if it is not your style. Yes the photographer did well with what she was given. What she was given was just fine. Not everyone has the same style. I have a completely different style. Does that mean I just go make the bride feel upset before her big day? If anyone should be criticized, it should be YOU. You have no sense of kindness. You are probably just a jealous person that has no creativity. Wait... I dont want to stoop down to your level.

Ok Marta, for claiming you didn't really know what you were getting into, these are amazing pictures! Erica is such a beautiful girl, how could you go wrong! Eric, you are very cute too!

And to the "Anonymous" comments. Sure they could have gone to a park, hugged a tree, whatever. But this would not have fit with this unique girl's personality and spirit. Sorry you didn't like them, no, wait, not sorry. Sorry that you have to be a jerk and trash someone's big day!

Love you Eric and Erica, happiness always!

Me again. I just showed these pictures to McKaylie and she really liked them, because they were different! She also said they were cool and awsome, and that the anonymous person was a jerk. I'm just saying....

I am the Event Coordinator at the Covey Center for the Arts. I was wondering if I can have your permission to use some of these photos on our Blog as a way to advertise taking pictures here at the theatre. I would like to post them and in return you can add your contact information. Please let me know.

This is in response to the "anonymous" posting about these not being "Pure" pictures. For one thing have some guts and use your real name!! These pictures are exceptional in quality and content, they accurately depict this gorgeous couples' individual and unique style! I would much rather see engagement pictures like these than the standard cookie cutter poses and locations that the majority of couples use. There is nothing "impure" about these photos, they show the love these two have for each other. In fact, I think that if someone feels they can judge others on their level of purity, they must have some pretty impure thoughts themselves. My advice for Eric and Erica is to keep your sense of style and individuality, don't listen to the "anonymous" people of this world, continue to shine and express yourselves. Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding.

Wish them the best in their marriage...what a fun way to start a long wonderful life together. These picture are modest and classy seems pure and wholesome to me :) Love can be seen in these picture .. yes the pure wholesome love between 2 young people committed to each other. Best wishes for a long and happy life together!

I commented earlier about these beautiful, fun, creative, and exceptional pictures and how I absolutely love them. Now I have to comment on the rude anonymous post. It is so sad that there are such dysfunctional, narcissistical people in this world. Those that are so self absorbed that they will share their opinions without caring about how it affects others. I think the person who wrote that mean comment is the epitome of arrogance and impurity. Have we not been commanded to love one another and what about the golden rule? The comment was written with the single purpose and intent to hurt another. It apparently was written by a very unhappy person. Sounds like sour grapes to me!!!
